Monthly Facility Safety Walk

Check each item as you go. If your facility does not have one of the items below, mark it N/A rather than leaving it blank.

Why this matters

These six systems are what keep people safe when something goes wrong โ€” a fire, a cardiac event, a chemical splash, a power outage. If they're not working when they're needed, the outcome changes. This walk is how we catch a problem before it becomes an emergency.

What this walk covers

  1. Fire Extinguishers

Gauge in the green, pin & seal intact, nothing blocking it.

It's the first thing that stops a small fire from becoming a big one.

  2. AEDs

Status light shows ready, pads present and not expired.

Has to work instantly — no time to troubleshoot during a cardiac emergency.

  3. First Aid Kits

    Stocked, sealed, nothing expired.

Keeps a small injury from turning into a bigger one.

  4. Eye Wash Stations

Activate it — water runs clear and strong from both heads.

Has to work the second someone needs to flush their eyes.

  5. Emergency Lighting / Exits

Lights work, signs lit, exit paths and doors clear.

This is how people get out safely if the power goes out.

  6. Lock Out / Tagout

Locks and tags stocked, procedures posted at the equipment.

Prevents equipment from being energized while someone's working on it.

Anything else

See anything else that needs attention?

Lights, leaks, damage โ€” anything outside these six. Report it the same day using the facility request form. Tick the box at the bottom of the walk and we will take you straight there when you submit.

Marking something Needs Attention

A box opens under that item for the detail โ€” which one, where, and what is wrong. Be specific enough that the crew knows what to bring. Anything you flag can be turned into a work order by Facilities in one click.

Signing the walk

The confirmation box at the bottom is your signature. Your name, the facility, the month and the time are all recorded with it.

6 items, 30 minutes, every month.
